Robin ends his set with a magnificent version of this magnificent song. Most of the audience applaud enthusiastically while some of us quietly weep....

  • Q:"What has 23 legs, white hair and 7 teeth?"

A:"The front row at a Robin concert" The great Cardiff Bard used to ask this riddle and all us whitebeards used to squirm when we recognised ourselves. He hasn't said this for a while-trust young people to turn up and spoil his fun.... Mind you, I recently saw the Pretty Things who go back a long long way and young people were there too- very odd.

    All the Best

  • Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it. He's a wise and wonderful fellow and very good company. Why don't you post a YouTube video of your versions of some of his tunes? I'd really like to hear them and I bet I'm not the only one.

    All the Best

  • Amazing

  • ....and the older you get, the more amazing it becomes....

    Hats off for Robin!

  • Magnificent the word. God be with you, young Robin.

  • I'm pretty sure He is....

  • I used to have a complete set of ISB records ( the vinyl kind) but alas it is long gone. May the long time sun shine upon you, all love surround you and the pure light within you guide your way home! That was scratched on the roof of an old school bus I lived in one summer.

  • Pretty darn cool to see him after all these years... Yes I still do have all my vinyl intact including his solo albums... Again Pretty darn cool... thanks

  • @Happyvalleypondman Good Music never dies :)

  • A true master of his craft!!! A beautiful sound!!!

  • Lovely!!! Le beannachdan (With blessings),

Ruiseart (Gaelic Druid Order - Scotland).

  • @wadefite Good point! Actually it was scratched on the ceiling right over the windshield but roof was what came to mind LOL. Thank you for your offer but I did manage to find a few. I remember first discovering ISB while in college and one morning I played Sleepers Awaken quite loud on the stereo and woke up everyone in the house. I don't recomment doing that.

  • @SW94929 what were you doing on the roof?

i have all the cds on a disc. i could send you it as i have copied it to itunes

  • @Happyvalleypondman Greeting from the next Generation ;-P

  • @SW94929: I found the same quote scratched on the bleak tiled wall of a prison cell when I got arrested at the 1974 Windsor festival :-)

Still got it all on vinyl (and all on CD and MP3 too, along with a lot of unreleased stuff that has turned up since).
