This is a DS game is called "Tokimeki Memorial Girl's side 1st love". It's what you would call a dating sim (or dating simulation) where you design a character and try to get a happy ending with one of a number of bachelors. If you google it, you can find more info and screen shots but once you get used to it, it's a fun and interesting game to play. It's exclusively a japanese game. You will learn a little japanese and a bit about the Japanese culture. I know I did.
