Here's Seren playing with his mousey! We've been feeding our Oriental kittens whole-prey since the day they came home (@ 14wks old). We hope these videos help inspire others to feed a species-appropriate diet to those in their care.

  • So the"Don't play with your food" didn't come from cats..?

  • So (eventually) does he eat all of the fur as well?

  • @LoraMaeHollingsway Yes, everything goes down. This is just a video of one of, if not the, first feedings.

  • do you only feed whole prey, or do you also feed chunked meats, canned, etc?

  • @gofetchgifts Also feed Innova EVO: leave the EVO kibble out in bowl & offer the EVO canned about 1x/week. I just want them to accept commercial should I ever need to discontinue the whole prey - keeps options open.

  • wish I'd watched this before giving my cat her first mouse. yes, I eventually cut it open. now she can handle young mice without help, but still needs help getting started on adults.

I pretend I have a strong stomach, but in truth I do not.

  • Aww :3 That's adorable.

  • Good for you, for taking the effort of feeding your cat a more proper diet. :3

  • I've been feeding my little girl raw but want to move on to whole prey. I'm not willing to feed live prey, though, so it has to be already dead. I just don't know where to find a supplier! :(
