I sort of agree with @gingervampireFTW ... I mean, the original should be more respected than the Glee version. Then again, I figure, just let the gleeks enjoy this. The only issue I have with this is the context. I mean, this song is about the childhood, teen years and all the personal stories of those 17 dancers, not Rachel and What'shisface... so I dunno about using this song.

@gingervampireFTW think your kinda being a theater snob when it comes to this particular point while those were good and still remain good (well for the most part) there is nothing wrong with modernizing stuff and revisiting it not to mention that argument would be better served on something that was far more bastardized than this little tune. I can appreciate the concept of your argument but really this is a poor example of the point you are trying to make.
