The leech-like parasite on crayfish. Commonly found in the gill chamber but when a crayfish dies they come out.

  • they can go through a exo sceleton O.o

  • No, they live in the gill chamber and after the crayfish dies they come out and try to find another host. Sometimes one will see them on the exoskeleton to lay eggs (on the dorsal carapace between the eyes).

  • you can get sick if you eat a crayfish with parasites.

to get rid of the parasites in your poor creature,

you would have to feed it little garlic chunks,

they love the garlic, and so do the fish! but its better to feed it separate to make sure your crayfish is eating it.

its really sad when your crayfish has it, they start spotting with brownish or black spots on their shell, then they would falling sideways and lay on their side.

  • i had a large crayfish die from these

  • can you still eat the crayfish that have these?!?!

  • are they dangerous to humans as well?

  • @supermaletperson ringworm isn't actually a worm, it's a fungus.

  • I think those are ringworms. One of my friends has those.

  • does anyone know if these worms will infect fish as well?

  • great video, these things live on the crawfish I pulled from the lake. They were holding onto pieces of a dead fish while the crawfish was walking around my aquarium. These things are pretty darn strong for their size

  • Just looked up on google, found that they may be good for the crawlfish, cleaning off bad stuff even from the eggs a female may carry. Now if the crawlfish dies a lot more bad things will attach to the CF giving more food for the worms.

  • thanks dude can you tell me more about this medicine because my crawfish have developed a shit load on their head and i took one of them out and used a spoon to scrape them off and it worked but then 2 days later they came back
