Today we started recording the second track for some sort of ep. Niclas wanted it to be electronic so I made it.....electronic. The rhythm was made on the Oberheim DX and after that I recorded a random arpeggio thing using this wonderful device...The flame midi talking synth.

As David Bowie once said about the Stylophone...I write all my songs on this.

Well...maybe not, I still write some on the stylophone.

This film was shot at Roth Händle studios, Stockholm. For more info and/or bookings please visit

  • I have never workd with Jupiter and I was a Duran Duran fan when I was a kid so maybe I need to check one out...

  • Hi,

Thank you for writing. A lot of these instruments are based and come from simple but inspiring ideas heavily coloured by the time they were made in. The Optigan definitely is one of the weirder instruments.

The Flamesynth is still confusing to me and I am trying to figure it out...Until I do I'll keep on recording it.

  • By the way, This could well have been made on a Jupiter.

  • the truth is out there!? :-)# By the way, your site is also interesting for non-musicians such as I. I discovered some instuments I had never heard of, such as the Optigan/Optigon. For fun, I have been fiddling for a while with a virtual Jupiter synth demo, which was limited in its functions. Still it was fun making weird sounds out of it. Later I discovered it was a key instrument in the early Duran Duran sound :-) Have a swell (working?)weekend, full of inspiration. Or week, reading it mondays

  • Thats the spirit !

  • wHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW?!
