what?! what a liar... how can it possibly be accidental. Everyone on the ship being so fat and so preoccupied with technology that they've forgotten how to walk has nothing to do with wall-e and his g.f. The director is just trying to avoid awkward questions about what he's trying to say to kids. He needs to man up.

the captain is noah, the axiom is the arc, and eve is the dove.

I find the irony of the humans aboard the Axiom expressing consumerist values whilst Walle and Eve express the more emotional and innocent human values, a key point of the film. It may not have been intended, but I find it quite beautiful.

Well even if he didn't want to make a "message-movie", it has one of the best messages I've ever seen in a movie!
I mean, we fucked up our planet, we have a ceiling of satellites above the earth, we are becoming lazy and fat in our perfect little world...
It's not just a kids movie.
