Remember Vegetables are living breathing things as well...They started from a seed or plant. They're born, grow and if not eaten. They die. Just like any other living form.
So technically Vegetarians are eating live things as well.
Eat your meat enjoy your health. I'll have a cheeseburger!!!

Well, I will not choose the vegetarian option anytime soon BUT I will absolutely stop buying meat from grocery stores and fast food resturantes. This is horrible... I will only go to a butcher who I know and trust. These people who cause this harm to animals will get what they deserve in the end.

Getting my broilers next week..I'm a high school student in a agriculture class and we are going to raise them for 8 weeks and kill them...yu kno they say the fresher the better!!

i can go for a nice big juicy fried chicken breast with some bacon followed by a cheeseburger! Nice!

@UmbreonAndEspeon1 You could opt for consuming less meat, yet choose for higher quality. That's an option lots of people take and it also adds to animal welfare

@bla7091 Are you sure about that? I'm actually a little afraid to become vegan because I'll be so thin I practically won't survive. I'm almost 5 1/2 feet tall and can't weigh any more than 105 pounds.

Everything has a purpose, these chickens can not live past 10 weeks typically so if we don't eat them they die anyway..... I understand because I raised my own this year, they are a cornish crossed with a white rock. To the vegetarians commenting I understand your beliefs but to the chicken eaters, you need to realize WHERE your chicken McNuggets come from. You either accept this and eat meat or if you are watching this in disgust you become vegan...otherwise you are a hypocrite.

I'm hungry. I could really go for some fried chicken or maybe some bacon! Yummy.

@amo22601 The public can help prevent it by buying free range as opposed to battery, the difference in price is offset by choosing other product more carefully. E.g. a carton of brand name bleach is £3, the store's own brand will be about £0.20. It's the same chemical in both that kills germs, ones just in a more visually attractive pack. Using that one example, which requires zero effort for you to work it out yourself, you can easily afford the difference in price on the chicken.

watching this is making me hungry
These factory farms have put hundreds of thousands of small farmers out of business. The time is now to stop the treatment of animals like a Ford Model T and bring back a healthy, diversived farm that is good for the animal, provides outdoor activities for ourselves and our children, and brings our communities back together. Animals can be raised humanely and the meat tastes SO much better!

I'm a vegetarian and I can run half marathons, practice judo & rowing at a decent level.
There's absolutely no link between vegetarianism and poor physical abilities. As long as you get all parts of the food pyramid you're perfectly fine
