In this video, I take my garbaged picked tiller free from beside the road and work to see if the motor is any good. It's a Briggs and Stratton 3.5 or 5 HP verticle shaft engine with recoil start and a pulsejet carburetor.

    The dial control should be set on HIGH before you attempt to start the engine.

  • This B&S engine is a 3.5-hp unit, as I see a dial-type speed control mounted on the shroud.
