I had this surgery done 7 months ago. I had bad palsey and nerve damage as well. It took 7 months but I'm 100% again. No physical therapy required. My Doctor did suggest taking vitamin B complex both B4 and after surgery for at least 3 months. This helps nerves heal better and faster.

@bjpassey you will recover in about 2-3 weeks once you get used to the feeling it should be no bother

How long is the recovery? Before you could go back to work? Any physical therapy after?

@TheKTgals93 I'm to be getting this surgery done, along with bilateral carpal tunnel release surgery in both hands..my ulnar nerve in my left elbow is the one that is damage/exposed(I can feel it between the bones protruding).
Mine is due to work.
thanks for the vid. gives me an idea of what's ahead..doctor only explained my carpal tunnel part of the surgeries so far. (need 3 seperate surgeries so i have a working hand while the repaired one heals.right hand / left hand, then elbow)

(2/2) trapped in a bunch of scar tissue that built up after my original elbow dislocation. Becuase of the tingling when my arm was bent, and the pain I had when I had to straighten it, my range of motion was inhibited. After the surgery my range of motion slowly came back, it isnt what it was before I dislocated, but it is way better than before my surgery. This surgery was a complete success, and I am extremely glad I chose to get it done!

(1/2) I knew I needed this surgery because when ever my arm was bent for more than 15 seconds my last 2 fingers would start tingling, also when ever I would straighten my arm, I got a sharp pinching pain in the back of my elbow where the ulnar nerve sits. " the groove". There was also "wasting" in my hand which means that my muscle in my hand was was not recieving signal, therefore it was depleting. (muscle on palm directly under pinky finger near wrist) It turns out that my nerve was

My surgery was about a year ago now, so pretty much back to normal! Recovery was not too bad, quicker than i thought it would be, surprisingly it wasn't overly painful or anything lots of physio though. My nerve was trapped which is why they had to move mine rather than it coming loose. My scar is still quite red and prominent though. if you have any more questions feel free to ask!
