U.N. Condemns U.S. Embargo on Cuba

The UN general assembly has overwhelmingly condemned the US economic embargo against Cuba, adding pressure on the Obama administration to abandon the 47-year-old policy.

They had no business in placing an embargo on Cuba to begin with. This is the reason why Jamaica and other nearby islands to suffer great economic losses thanks to them imposing themselves by buying up mass property all in order to keep the so called threat from Cuba at bay. Sooner or later America will become nothing more than another Rome...much like England and rest of Europe

@Elgranchiquitin I myself believe that they blame the embargo as a tactic to make you believe that they are poor due to the USA. Thats why they still drive 1959 cars when the country still had a middle class like the 1 million Cubans here in Miami. What Cuba really wants is "CREDIT" from the USA.

The US "embargo", does not include Medicines or food, and the Castro regime is free to commerce with the rest of the world.. If they had the Money!.. Of course!

THE US EMBARGO IS JUST AN EXCUSE USED BY THE CUBAN DICTATORSHIP FOR THEIR DISASTROUS ECONOMY. US EMBARGO MEANS THEY CANNOT BUY GOOD FROM THE US , BUT THEY STILL CAN BUY THEM FROM CANADA OR ANY EUROPEAN COUNTRY JUST THE SAME.........ENOUGH OF THAT EXCUSE.

The United States imposed the embargo against Cuba in 1961 after Castro's government began seizing private land and nationalizing private companies, and Havana levied heavy taxes on American goods.

@mayito714 It's far more sinister than that.The U.S blocks deals Cuba makes with other Latin American Countries.They Lobbied the EU not to trade with Cuba also,it is only Spain that does so. They will have to lift the Embargo now because China have more or less pitched up on the island and are building tonnes of stuff.Oil refinerys , mines and Hotels and golf courses i was there last month .I saw it.

Why dont they just purchase goods & services from another country that has no embargo? If you cant shop at Walmart, go to K-Mart !!!!!. Really, or is it all about "The Blame Game"...
