I loved a lot of his books as a young adolescent. I do recall that he loved overusing the adjective 'moist'. His work is not bad...and it is informative. However, Chaim Potok never could acknowledge the reality of the situation in Israel/Palestine other than making something heroic for Jews. He made me feel very Jewish...but only in his books. Reality needs universal understanding.
