  • Lol I never liked the whole pagan thing.. it just sounded like 'hey... let's become retarded' to me.

  • okay... but, don't you think that the game is more realistic with the pagans? Or, in general, there are groups of ppl that can be more or less sympatic to a player. Though (in real life) many ppl don't like each other and one might think about the other "oh what a fool"... which means it would be very boring if everyone was like one.

    well in real life, i believers it might exist them pagan camps in them abandoned castles, but no evil woodsie, just goodsye ones

  • Hey, you're allied with them for the reason that they won't attack you when they see you. There are though some missions you can do for them but in case of success nothing happens but the 'relation' bar increases to the 'Allied' side (ofc if you're already allied with them you see no change).

  • Play Thief 1, you'll see the dark side of Pagans and the Trickster

  • Pagans don't try to be anything. They represent a reversion to a more primitive state.

    Also, the Deadly Shadows dialogue wasn't really representative of Pagans in the Thief series. Try watching the cutscene The Eye from Thief 1.

  • I see the positive side of your comment & I approve it very much.. this kid is right though.. If this video is a mere representation of the pagans you would expect something more out of this world than some half retarded humanoid. The creativity of it all is avant-garde in its most morbid sense. almost contagious in it's every respect. =(

  • And anyway, they aren't  ''evil'', just primitive (and maybe slightly insane)

  • Each group has their own dialect, it makes sense for the Pagan's speech to be somewhat infantile and strange, what with the lack of formal schooling like Keepers get, or the ancient scriptures Hammers are forced to memorize leaking into their speech patterns. I find it creative.

  • If they made another thief, they could use their pansy nature to lure out the taffer.. in later levels the stronger pagans can be disguised & upon first glance could transform into terrifying woodsy creatures (ents, or those tree people from oblivion) only capable of being killed with fire arrows so they burn to the ground & their shrieking death cries scare the player into hiding thus alerting angry nearby pagans & amused hammerites.
