..This is adorable. I'm looking to adopt a parrot when I'm older. I have a passion for birds. Is this the age that most birds are adopted? I feel it would be good to get a lot of info from grey owners. :)

Most good breeders won't let their birds go until they are weaned and fledged. I know this breeder very well, and have experience hand feeding and fledging chicks, so he let me have him very young. You may be able to find a breeder that will spend some time with you, teaching you how to feed, raise, and care for a chick.
