As most of us already know firsthand, the Institution of Education is simply and tragically stuck. It won't or can't move forward on its own---it is a world mired in its own mediocre mindset and language--eduspeak--a way of thinking and communicating that entraps our teachers and kids in factory farm education. Since Education Leaders won't or can't learn to change (except to take billions of tax dollars in return for submitting to governmental law), we the people are faced with an existential choice: We must exercise our civil rights as parents and citizens and change the institution by ourselves using Play as a powerful change agent. We can embrace and harness the principle of Play to push and propel the field into a new dimension, a new way understanding and relating to the young.
