Mike, That way of thinking... If we dont give scholarships to illegals, we are punishing them/???? WTH??? What about all the poor neighboorhoods that dont even know what a scholarship is? Oh yea, we are punishing them... stop punishing our OWN citizens before you stop punishing ILLEGALS!

Huckabee states that we should give the children of illegals (who are illegal themselves) in-state tuition and scholarships because "we shouldn't punish children for the crimes of their parents".

Ok then, lets START by punishing (deporting) the parents before ANY educational benefits are considered for to their children!

Huckabee is right, republicans have become so stuborn and senseless when they come to this issue. All they say is they're taking our jobs and our money but they forget that if they were allowed to be part of this society they will be not taking away but rather contributing. Why must they not see that economically speaking there will be benefits.

When any citizen of America has to leave the country no matter if its an emergency or for a vacation they need to show proof of who they are.Illegals don't do this. Why should they have that right?They should have no rights because they are not citizens of the US. Sure, I hate to see families broke apart, but its the risk they choose for being illegal. Theres a right way and wrong way to enter, work and live in the US. Its just most choose the wrong way. The options are easier than you think.

Look up the stats of just California and how much taxpayers spend on illegals for *healthcare, incarsiration, free hospital visits, unpaid loans, housing, food stamps for starters you are talking in the billions per year. How is that helping the US society? How is taking any jobs from American citizens helping us? Its one thing if you are pro illegals, its another thing just sounding like an idiot.

i truly like huckabee; however, i disagree with him in this regard. i understand where he is coming from, however. our borders should sealed drum tight. if you do that, you won't need to worry about whether it's apporopriate for the offsprings of illegal immingrants to have scholarships.
