  • Not everyone can afford high end lenses. Sure better glass is nice, but when you can't afford it you just can't buy expensive equipment. More people will watch your videos if you start talking for low budget photographers too.

  • @MrVag13 To respond to this i fully push and recommend a lens like a 35 1.8mm which is only $200 and the canon 50 1.8 which is even less.

  • Jared! Dude! Don't conflate cropping with creative trimming. Dude! Are you saying every perfect composition of every subject you shoot is found only within a 2:3 aspect ratio? Dude! Work with me here.

  • @kentak47 not at all ,i said during the show that if you have something in mind for the shot and its not in the 2:3 than go for it by all means. Like square or pano def go for it.

  • Must have taken years to export and upload...how long did it take?

  • @ShakeAndBakeGuy 9gigs about 4 hours total

  • i learn even by reading exchange of comments here.

JPol aka theFro is THE man!!

  • Is there a new Canon EF 400 F5.6L ii USM or it is IS? You only say it is a 400mm F5.6 wich already exists, so I am not sure. I really appreciate your show! I don't have time to watch it live, but I watch them on Youtube.

  • @gdw22 Well, you can't really generalize it by saying more mps decrease the quality of an image. It depends on the sensor. Smaller sensors which are usually built in pocket cameras aren't really able to handle really much mps. That's why it's not recommended to buy a minicamera with like +12mp.

At least this is what I've been reading in many forums.

  • Im looking to get a new body. Jared and Greg, Canon 7d or Nikon D7000. Honestly leaning towards 7d at the moment because of video capabilities. But which do you think is better in low light?

  • i'm a beginner but i really thought that the more mega pixels on the camera that it would improve clarity of the image? when ive bought camera's in the past ive used the megapixels as a guide. So ive been wrong this whole time??

  • Cropping reminds me about someone with a Canon 5D Mark ll (w/c is a full frame 21 mp DSLR) in which he shoots portraits on studio BUT he don't compose his image through the lens. He just shoots full-body of a subject using 24-70mm lens and doesn't mind even if the background & light stands, flash's wires & extensions is in the photo. He said he will just crop it away in Photoshop. And his reason was it's bec it's a 21mp camera. That way, it's a waste of time and unprofessional.

  • is it really a contest or just a random drawing? wouldn't a contest warrant some sort of notable feat to win something? just giving you guys a hard time.

  • I live in Florida. What part were you in? There was a banner ad I saw while driving advertising a Bridal show in West Palm Beach where I live, was that where you were. Would have been great if I knew so I could have met you.
