World Population tops 6.6 billion

It is Population Day and the number of people on the planet has now reached 6.6 billion. The day was set up by the United Nations 20 years ago when the world's population was 5 billion.

That does not change the very likely fact that aliens do visit earth with advanced tech. No, not proven. You need an alien specimen for that. But, don't just speculate. Study the actual reported cases. And, ignore all the bullshit religious-like theories that alien-believers put to their experiences or studies (e.g. angels).

@deskset24 Regardless,, the sheer distance between habitable planets would make contact fairly unlikely. Its more likely that mankind will live out his species existence and never come across anything from beyond our planet. Its not to say that life does not exists but but prove it, thats the only way of resolving any doubt. Everything else is sheer speculation.

What really counts is that if mankind doesn't do something about our runaway population then we're not going to be around very long
