@mapache11 cartels r your "officials" like Lamar Smith & etc
-
It just occurred to me that the cartels may actually be paying bribes to government officials to keep drugs ILLEGAL. hmmmmmmmmmmm Okay. Time for a blunt.
-
Plus this is a waste of time and money and lives. Might as well charge the Cartels taxes. Could they be in business with the govt?
-
Time to get some lobbyists, (the only way to get things done in D.C.) put some new faces on this cause, and get this bitch over the hill....
-
decriminalization is the word we should be using , legalization carries an implication that government should control and regulate> hence the same crap, intrusion into a persons private matter

Millions of Americans lives ruined forever due that they needed a relief from the American stressed life and didn't wan't to use the Liquor Bussines Mafia products and decided to smoke a hangover free plant. Trillions of now needed dollars wasted on Law Enforcement of a natural plant that was banned for use in USA by the Liquor Mafia Lobby. Hey don't use that plant, use my liquors or I will send the agents payed by you to arrest you. The Liquor Lobby owns you.

@xuj22 You're right about the hypocrisy of people who say they don't use drugs, even though they use several drugs daily. However you are wrong to say "Pot is the ONLY drug that actually has good health benefits." Antibiotics, antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, statins, antithrombolitics, insulin, levothyroxine, epinephrine, and MANY others all save lives, prolong lives, and make lives more comfortable. THC is not the ONLY good drug, but it SHOULD be added to the list, for sure.

@xuj22 You make good points. If they were smart they would diversify, lobby for legalization, and utilize their resources to efficiently bring hemp products to the consumers. But they are short sighted, so let them die out. It's time for new entrepreneurs to capitalize on this eco-friendly product. American farmers deserve to make a profit for a change.

As Abraham Lincoln once said, "Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon ... which our government was founded."
-
And another thing...Legalizing pot aint gonna do it. Cocaine is where the money is.
If people want to sniff stimulants until their hearts explode...so be it. Pot is just going to make therm easy targets for predatory ARMED FOREIGN SOLDIERS FROM MEXICO !!! This is unfortunately now a real war on our front yards in Baltimore and Ohio { Kinda like that all American railroad...} now a wasteland.

The 'policy' was never supposed to work. Otherwise it would have ended decades ago.
The intended goal was to create a PERPETUAL multibillion dollar law enforcement and litigation industry known as The War on Drugs. The USA spends close to $40 billion annually on this industry.
Tell your local Sheriff that his county's agency will no longer receive overtime pay or **any funding** for non-violent drug issues and watch him freak out.
