i'm in china.i got that in fact,china owns LOTS of little girls like Jin Yang,but just few of them can be in the national team...and those who cant win the gold medal will get a hard life in their latter life.
The "chinese" way to collect athlete is just MERCILESS.

@fdoca Yes, but none of that will make up for a whole childhood of lost education.
In China, if you're going to do something outside of the traditional school path, you better hope you become accepted nationally or professionally. Otherwise, your future becomes extremely unclear.

If they failed to make to a national team, which majority did.
They lear the disciplain, extra hard work, sacrifice for their goal and focus for years
These winning spirit can taking long way
Their lifes should do well on whatever they do in future

Very difficult way to break in to competition. First "real" competition was Olympic tryouts? Not a good way to start a career. They need little trials before the big show. They need to improve their system a bit more.

i know this girl has talent!! she should make it to the Olympics 2008. Jin Yang is great great gymnast at such a young age, i want to see her again...in the near future. I have been hoping and thinking about her making it to the Olympics 2008 in Beijing. for 2 years now. she never really left my mind with her dream.

thanks lol yeah i got the footage and decided to make a montage. I was going to incorporate some of her competitions but i couldn't find any so i just used the footage i had.
