Chelmsford City v Southend Utd. Essex Senior Cup Final 1-4-8

Stuart Ainsley has a superb game in midfield as the mighty Clarets come close to bringing home the silverware from Roots Hall.

Although they had the majority of the chances on goal the Southend keeper was more than a match for the power of their shots.

The part timers showed why they are the Ryman league champions as they battled to the final whistle with the full vocal support of the 1624+ City faithfull.

Again the players showed their appreciation of the Claret Army after the final whistle with mutual applause from both on and off the pitch.


Oh and by the way we lost 1-0 to a team 4 steps up the pyramid.
