True. Though it is a little sad if you imagine how much further it could have come. Imagine if there was no civil war, no PRC, no great leap forward. It could be as advanced as Japan. But it isn't.

this was like the 80's....But even then, you can still see the trains were very decent. After viewing this video, you just have to appreciate the progress China made in the past 20 years. Nowadays, Chinese trains are still a convenient, safe and affordable way to travel around the country, but much much more comfortable..
