This is a slide show of photos from the 9-12-09 Tax Payer March on Washington. This even was incredible. Thousands upon thousands of people gathered with their home made signs for a variety of reasons; The out of control government spending, the health care reform, government leading the country toward socialism, etc...
I know that the popular belief is that the event was a group of racist republicans just ganging up on the president. However, as one of the speakers (a black man who served in the Marines) put it, "This is not a republican or a democrat thing. This is not a white thing or a black thing. This is an American thing!"
I just want to convey the theme that I found most throughout the event. The government that our founders had laid out is what made America the greatest nation on earth! Our founders felt that the government should have limited power, and the power that it does have comes from the people it governs. As we move further from the principles of the founders, people are becoming more and more concerned.

You people who think Obama's a communist and all that other bullshit conveniently forget that your gods, Cheney, Bush, and the other neo-conazis started an illegal, immoral war that's cost the U.S. taxpayer nearly one trillion dollars, ran our economy into the ground, and gave 700 billion dollars to Wall Street in October 2008 to stabilize an economy that nearly sank the world into depression. Obama's health care package is the wrong program at the wrong time, but the economy's because of Bush.

OK, You obviously don't understand what we are upset about, so let me explain it to you! WE DON'T SUPPORT BUSH'S BAILOUTS OR OBAMA'S $9 TRILLION DEBT! We are conservatives who are upset with both democrats and republicans alike. A good portion of both parties are corrupt! This country needs to get back to the basics of the Constitution. Also, say what you want about Bush and the war, but this county has been safe for 8 years. Protecting the people is actually one of the governments jobs!

Do you believe that? The war on terror is a joke? You need to wake up buddy. These Islamic extremist HATE us! They are willing to die in order to claim a few of our lives. I guarantee that if we let up on the war on terror, we would see more terroristic attacks. What is it going to take for people like to realize the reality of this? You sound like one of Charlie Sheens buddies.
