I'm surprised Kojima didn't make the bad ending canon. Directors seem to usually favor sadder endings.
I'm glad the bad ending isn't canon. I liked Meryl.

I actually find this ending much more stronger and better then the "Good ending". It just seems presented better, and feels better and more real. I wished this would be the ending that was cannon, but I guess you can't always get what you want :/

Hey, if in the other ending Meryl escaped with Snake to flee the bombing raid, and Otacon stayed behind to help you escape while he was to die in the bombing, then why didn't Snake check to see if he was still alive after there was no bombing?

If u beat liquid in a certain a time u can actually save meryl but if u fail under the time limit she dies....weird

@thebeaner626 Nope, the time doesn't matter at all. The variable is submitting to Ocelot's torture or not earlier in the game.

@THEgreatCORNHOLIO294 Listen people, this is an alternate ending. It didn't really happen and is not cannon, in the real ending, both Meryl and Otacon live. Therefore, they both return in later MGS games.
