Host Jon Stewart dismisses the interview portion of the show as filler, but gives some examples of both interesting and boring guests.

  • Neil deGrasse Tyson is probably my favourite guest on TDS.

  • It's interesting how the show has changed since then. Stewart definitely pays attention to the interview now. I guess now he's in a position to book guests he's interested in.

  • @MA3LK : Agreed, but to me the best ever guest appearance ever on either Stewart or Colbert was when Debra Dickerson got schooled on denying Obama's blackness (Feb 2nd 2007). Now that was revealing AND hillarious. A classic must-see !!!

  • Ricky gervais and Brian williams are my personal favorites

  • It is so obvious that they put no effort into researching their guests before interviewing. At least Stewart admits he is producing an inferior product. Come on, man!

  • Wow... he makes me laugh even thought i disagree with him on so many things. John Stossel should be the fuckin' president and Tiffany Amber Thiessen was a goddess.

  • Steve Colbert and Steve Carrell are just sitting their bored. I wonder if they even realize the amount of success they will eventually have...

  • @MA3LK I didn't even know deGrasse Tyson had been on the show! That has "brilliance" written all over it. Sir, you just made my last portion of grass all that much sweeter.

My dear fellow, I thank you.

  • Oh the good ol' days with Stephan Colbert and Steve Carell.

  • @bigbluemonkey290 You're not gonna finish that post? I was hanging on your every word. Everything you say sounds so interesting to me :)

  • It's hard to suggest that Stossel doesn't believe in what he's saying relative to Ralph Nader. Both have spent much of their professional career researching and reporting/running a campaign on their stated principles.

  • Akbar S. Ahmed

Or of course Brian Williams lol
