Many (Hal Lindsey made me aware) think that before the non-Arab coalition of Ezek 38-39 attacks Israel, an Arab-Islamic coalition will attack (Ps. 83 and Isa 17), based in Damascus. Lebanon is home to Hamas, the local radical sect who does have political power. Israel repulses the attack, then enjoys a time of peace & prosperity (Ez 38 - a nation that has recovered from war). When the Gog-Magog conflict breaks out, some of the Arab nations seem to question the coalition's sanity.

You are unfairly coupling the whole nation with the acts of some. Supporting Israel does not mean we support every sinful thing they do. Every nation, every person sins, so if 1sin means a person or nation cannot be supported - can any person or nation EVER be supported? Do you think American Indians never did wrong? They committed atrocites; the US did not wipe them out...they are here to this day. Israel will 1 day publicly acknowl Messiah. Until then we pray for individuals.

Jerusalem is called Sodom and Egypt, but God sees the end of the matter & knows they will turn to him (Zech 12-14), and on that basis can call Jerusalem his prized possession. We also know this & look forward to the PUBLIC acknowledgement of Messiah in Jerusalem, which will be accompanied by deep shock and repentance with mourning when they see who comes as they cry out for Messiah. In the meantime, we pray for Jews and all people to repent & follow our Lord Jesus as INDIVIDUALS.

Honest people must ask themselves since God destroyed Jerusalem why it's called Sodom and Egypt where Christ was crucified and NOT the holy city until Christ returns. Wake up.
