What a treasure to see the person behind the story and the television program.

Living in America it is so sad that we are not seeing more productions about he reality of life. Women are so amazing in the ability they have to give birth and nurture.

It is about time that men of the world look and listen to something as this and start standing more "erect" in our nature and character.

May the Peace that Passes All Understanding be with All the women as well as the men of this world.

I think one of the most beutiful series on TV

The difference about now and then is everyone stuck together in the same boat and looked after each other, now it is look after number one much of the time.

the companionship of neighbourliness has gone in most cases

report 3, and turned a loving caring child round to a scared child, that happened to so many children, and the goverment turned a blind eye to it going on, history has shown that to be true,

History seems to be repeating itself again, people starving , not enough food to feed families, parents going with out to feed kids, food banks all over the place and with out them some familes would be in a mess,

Have we moved on, seems not,

Shadows of a workhouse is a book to read by jennifer, hangy ready.

I watched Midwife on t,v, and enjoyed it, but never give it a lot of thought even though a lot of the differant programs each week left me with stuf to think about.

I did not know about this auther sorry to say, more so that the lady had just died, again sorry to say.

I came across this auther mainley through a book called "Shaddows of the Workhouse " i have done research into work houses and know a lot of history and stories about them.

Reading one storey about Jane and later her brother(next )

I have read all the books and watched the tv series twice amazing stories from an amazing woman I was so sad when I realised she had passed away when I reached the end of book one. Her story of Jane, Frank his sister moved me to tears and filled me full of hate for the man who ran the workhouse and has been dead for many years I'm a 55 year old man and don't normally get moved to feel that way by a book. I started reading them as they are set in the year I was born and wanted to see what life w
