Rewatchin' these vids till they were posted, I still ain't feelin' the virtuosic display of time mastery. Feels a bit like some Buddy Rich kinda thang in a neo-soul small band mold. But as soon as pino palladino & chris dave be hittin' that pocket (and i'm takin PAHKIT), I'm just shuttin the fuck up. Otherworldy groove.

The theme they play (the fast part between drums and sax) is one of my favorite ever, from Wynton Marsalis "Black Codes", "Delfeayo's Dilemma".
I don't know if I like that kind of stuff, it's a little bit too much for me, but HUGE RESPECT for these AWESOME muicians.
