  • As someone who was raised Mormon I would say Mormons are more "pleasant" than actually nice. They won't spit in your face but they'll work to take away your right to marry.

  • Why is there a gay marriage debate on here? The whole thing is ridiculous. Ban straight AND gay marriage. Marriage is a religious ceremony, why is our secular govt involved in the first place? Its like giving a tax break for people who are baptized, the whole thing is nuts and unconstitutional

  • Matt Stone, Trey Parker and Robert Lopez just sitting and talking about Mormons...

i would pay to have that conversation !

  • @bosshog7169 Technically, you can be married by a justice of the peace and have a secular wedding. I think now, it's a lot more than just religion. Like Christmas, it's something enjoyed by the religious and the nonreligious alike.

  • @MaryJesusJoseph Mormons don't care if gay people get married, they just don't want the government involved and imposing its will on people who may have differing religious/political views. I say take the government out of marriage completely. We should just abolish marriage as a power of the State and let people do what they want.

  • @MaryJesusJoseph

You could not be more wrong. It was the blacks that past prop 8. Over 85 percent of them voted for it. I am so sorry that you left the church. Good luck to you and God Bless. You are always welcome back.

  • The commercials were called The Homefront series.

  • @MaryJesusJoseph Hahahahaha, that is a well constructed and hilarious statement! Sounds like something straight from stand up.

  • good point. the gov shouldn't be involved in marriage at all. and I don't see why other gay people want to take part in a religious ceremony when you don't even believe in that belief. if the gov wasn't involved and there were no tax break would it still be so important? reject what people tell you is right and do your own thing. marriage is a part of religion. why be a part of it?

  • @023Lexi The difference is, I don't try to vote away your rights. Maybe you don't care about the rights of others and you thing human rights should be left up to popular opinion (I wonder how that would work in regard to Mormon's religious rights--some of those aren't so popular). But even if a law came up banning Mormon marriage I would vote against it--because I believe in human rights--obviously your opinion is that some people shouldn't have equal rights. Have a nice life.
