The game will not be based on the story line of the movie adaption but will be available some time near when the Movie 'Captain America: The First Avenger' is released. USA: July 22nd 2011/ UK: July 29th 2011.
MARVEL also confirmed that both 'Thor'(May 2011) and 'Captain America The First Avenger' will be converted into 3D in post-production.

why can't people make a decent superhero game? it's not a lot to ask for, Seriously I think this game would have been A LOT better if they payed more attention to the fighting system, It looks so slow and slurred, and the enemies are so repetitive and boring to kill, maybe they could have thrown in finishers and that might have made the enemies a lot more fun to kill instead of being bored after the first level because your too tired to kill people.

the fighting is as lame as it was in the movie. So I guess they got that right? Cap's always been known for his unique acrobatic fighting style, I think he did one flip in the movie though.
