Christina Martin chats to Matt LaClair during his trip to London. Matt, a high school student who challenged his history teacher for using the classroom to preach, talks about his campaign to ensure the separation of church and state.
well done matt..im proud of u brother..wish there were more people like u in the world ..and what makes me more glad is the fact that you are young and intelligent enough to point out rubbish to the world ! may god and science bless you :)
@twgcutiepie 1. "From the looks of your profile, you're from Norway and that is what you should worry about." as you say I am from Norway, and since English is my second language i could not successfully understand the last part of that sentence. 2. I am quite familiar with the story after reading several articles from the US even though it was featured here as well. 3 "Hope that never happens to you or your family." That is an absurd thing to say with my secular national & cultural background
CORRECTION: Turns out the teacher was preaching his religion in a history class, which is still inappropriate. I have no doubt that had another teacher been caught proselytizing for Islam or Scientology in either a history or English class at a public school, masses of parents would have been up in arms, and justifiably so.
The teacher ruined his own career by promoting his religious faith in science class. For the good of his or her own teaching career, not to mention the educational well-being of his or her students, I would hope that no public school science teacher ever makes that mistake again. If one wants to teach religion, Sunday school would be a more appropriate venue for that endeavor.
@helvetesund From the looks of your profile, you're from Norway and that is what you should worry about. You don't know the situation and you're praising this boy. I'm not lashing out at you but I saw the comment and found it absurd since I know the situation in its entirety. Hope that never happens to you or your family. Have a good day!
This kid ruined a man's life, stained his career, and hurt his family for his 5 mins of fame. Also, recording someone without their consent is illegal.
I think this is reasonably interesting, but for your launch it is a bit too long and in-depth. I doubt that many people are going to watch 40 minutes or so of this even though it is a worthy topic. Also I have just watched the first video and most of the second and it is a bit slow to get across an indication of how much of a fuss this made in America - I take it it became a bit of a national scandal and that is why you are giving the guy so much attention? Maybe I don't follow US news much .

I suggest you put up some more short and punchy things that don't require people to concentrate for so long
