I used to have a 2002 Sebring. The engine died at 84,000 miles. Every single mechanic i went to said to get rid of it because it was possibly the worst engine ever built... they were right..
@blinkfan305 most likely, i would have had a better shot at the dealer if i had even pushed, but i just said screw chrysler altogether bought a GM and things have been great, if you told me 4 years ago id actually enjoy a grand am GT after my last 3 cars were a 78 ford f250, an 87 Monte SS, And An 86 Iroc, i woulda called you crazy, but that 3400 with the ram air is enough to be fun but not be a pull-over magnet
@CBRHurricane6 It wouldn't have mattered anyway. Now that Chrysler's already filed for bankruptcy and reformed under the new Chrysler moniker, your lawsuits and thousands of others like it would've been dropped.
@formerice they fixed the problem after 02, my better half got burned by a dodge dealer, it was an intrepid 2.7, with only 64,000 mi. i had ALL my service records, and a carfax that shows it had been hit and they didnt tell her, they still said we didnt change oil...your fault, so i looked all this up i found the sludge would plug oil returns that werent big enough ...i was gearin up to sue them and the finance company dropped it called it "deemed uncollectable"
felt this pain, better half had a 00 trepid 60K mi it spun a bearing. dealer said it was her fault ditched the POS n got my better half a grand am gt instead, the 3400V6 is a tough motor specially hers, i got her the ram air one
