Angel is left alone with Cordelia, who confesses that the Powers That Be owed her one. Angel says he doesn't understand and she said she got what she wanted. Cordelia tells Angel that she is now on a different path and must leave. She heads out the door but then runs back to Angel, and they kiss passionately. A ringing telephone interrupts, and as Angel picks up the receiver, Cordelia says, "Oh, and you're welcome." The voice on the phone says that Cordelia has died. Angel's office is suddenly empty; Cordelia has vanished. Angel realizes Cordelia never awoke from her coma. He hangs up the telephone and says, "Thank you."

  • season 5 of angel was a joke. cordelia's dies and it's not even mentioned but when fred dies it is mentioned. cordelia was one central characters of the show since the start. it is also a joke the fact they bought to walfom and hart.

  • Its so sad that all of Angel's original partners from the first season died. Doyle, Cordelia and Wesley.... thats the tragic thing to me. I loved all three of them and they all died. *tears up*

  • They acknowledged Doyle's, Buffy's, Fred's, even Lilah, yet not so much as a "Cordy's dead."

  • One of my favorite scenes that always brought me to tears. What really bothered me even then is that her death received no acknowledgement. I'm not saying bemoan her death till the end if the series, but something. It was like she went "to a big farm upstate where she could play with all the other former spoilt rich girls turned champion of justice with visions".

  • @annehurleyhurley35 I see what you mean but it's probably because when Fred died Illyria took over her body so they were alway's reminded of her, and it would have hurt all of them to talk about Cordelia. And about Wolfram and Hart, if you noticed they are involved in EVERY season, even season 3 in Pylea! It's SO annoying!

  • @Cleapatra25 I thought the same thing. I cried during all 3 deaths.

  • My favorite line from Cordelia "We take what we can get, champ, and we do our best with it."

  • Charisma's tear-filled eyes set me up, and David's sad puppy face knocked me down.

  • -3 Cordy!

  • Omg in tears atm! And I love the way she says oh and your welcome
