  • Just gorgeous!

When I first saw the size of the instrument I couldn't wait for you to turn it completely loose and propel me out of my chair.

But now I'm so glad you didn't--you play with great sensitivity, respect and beauty. You make more music with two stops than most others do with full organ.

    Standing ovation for you!

  • This and other of Mr. Elliot's selections help get me through quiet mornings at a network television switching center. It makes me think of things beyond myself.

  • @Bachlives2 Ahem... G#. If you go looking for an Ab in an organ you will never find it.

  • @Chesterbarnes1 Not with out help from a very sophisticated sound system.

  • @ryorgan I think I would disagree. The organ by no means fills the room without "help." The conference center while masterfully built by Schoenstein shows a high degree of economy. Not even full choruses on all the main divisions where one might expect them. Of course the tonal design is far more orchestral here, while I have yet to hear much use of the theater stops aka Orchestral division.

  • Pure transport!

  • The Tabernacle organ has just under 12000 pipes. The Conference center organ has just under 8000 but my understanding that it's built to accompany a full house (21000) people singing plus the Tab choir of about 375 voices. Probably operates under greater pressure for volume. The Tab organ and Conf. center organs could never exchange places. Each was built for its own building.

  • Even with the requisite coughing from the audience it is still gorgeous.

  • I particularly love the registration he uses starting at 1:12.

  • The whispering feeling...wonderful!

  • My question is as large as the Center is does this Organ accomodate the size. Can it be hear when the Center is filled with singing? I've often wondered? We were told it is not as large as the Tab Organ, correct?
