i tried doing this but i put the transistors in the wrong way- they fizzed and as i disconnected the battery a puff of horrible smoke went up into my face DX

Kool Video, hey Man i got an, LED SIGN Made up of: TOTAL OF 167 LEDS, first word - 76 LEDS, second word - 91 LEDS TOTAL OF 167 RESISTORS 470 ohms(12v), first word - 76 Resistors, second word - 91 Resistors.
SIGN RUNNING ON 12v SOURCE POWER AC/DC Transformer Adaptor. AND how can i make it both words flash, without brightness going down i tried 555 timer chip Flashing circuit but made all my led's Brightness go really low?? PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!! REPLY BACK ASAP THANKS !
