Science of the Bible: Thermodynamics

The First Law of Thermodynamics states that Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed.
The total amount of energy and matter in the Universe remains constant, merely changing from one form to another.
The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that the universe tends to move from a state of order to disorder.
It's the reason why everything ultimately falls apart and disintegrates over time.

The 2nd law of thermodynamics (which says that things get worse over time) is referring to energy in a CLOSED system. But the earth is NOT a closed system. In fact it is quite open and can receive energy from an outside source. The earth DOES receive energy in the form of nuclear fusion from the sun's rays every day. That is why things on earth (like evolving species) have the potential to get better instead of worse. This guy only thinks he studied thermodynamic laws.

@markpianoman Actually, I use thermodynamics to show that Genesis is not literal. It's all an extension of the 1st Law. But you keep right on going, demonstrating the need for more and better science and math education in this nation.

Yeah, dumb scientists. Next they will be telling us that trees grow. This would be completely contrary to the second law of thermodynamics as you have stated it, so trees growing are clearly an illusion.  Either that or you have completely failed to understand that law.
