If it's a male it's been overfed. I think you need to get it resexed. Too much girth.

@uNecrotic the mouse doesnt bite the snake before the snake eats it, its when the snake is around the mouse, and its attempt to escape contains biting. unless your snake is wild caught, and even if it wild caught, try to ween the snake off of live and try prekilled, then go to frozen thawed. its not worth the vet bills for that 1 time that you have a bleeding snake and dont know what to do. And the nutrients differences is bs...they are flash frozen, and gradually over many months will it go bad

I feed live because they eat live in the wild and live has more nutrients than frozen. I always supervise the feeding if anything does tend to happen. But before his lunch can do anything he snatches it up :)

why is everyone saying that its a female? A female get about 8 feet long, that one looks like its at most 7 feet. But anyways really pretty boa, Mines is currently pretty small but growing so damn fast.
