@WickedChips yeah like I said earlier, this was the last song and it was right after Third Eye which you know how that song ends. Good idea to do stinkfist after yelling his throat out during third eye since stinkfist's first verse is pretty much spoken. Still you can her his voice was toast by then. It was a great show and I would go see them again live tomorrow if I could. :)

I hope I'm not the only one that recognizes Maynards voice is and has been incredibly hoarse for like the past 4 years. Bad move to be working with A Perfect Circle while getting ready for the new Tool album. Needs to give his vocal cords a rest or else the first like 2 shows of the tour are gonna be decent and the rest is gonna be just like this. Needs to drinking so much goddamn whine to. But whatever floats your boat Maynard.

This is just sad, the vocal is weak at it best and they are also off key somtimes in my ears. And 49 likes?, have to give one down here. It this is the standard from 2011 i better let them be live, so i dont ruin the perfect sound picture i have of them totaly.

A lot of these guys destroy their voices over the years. I wish they all had the foresight to take care of the damn things, but sadly they rarely do. I'll bet the lifespan of his voice wasn't really on Maynard's mind in the early 90s.

Luckily the studio is much more forgiving than live performances.

Hahahaa! Maynards voice totally cracked on the 2nd pre chorus on the first yell. Really funny sounding, I bet he was really angry with himself, but nobody who was there cares. It's still great. I can imagine how hard it is for him sometimes, after having screamed so loudly for 20 years, it's amazing that he can sing AT ALL anymore. So to everyone bitchin, DON'T. The 2010 tour was amazing for him vocally, by far the best of the 10,000 days tour, and IMO better than the Lateralus tours.

@zach5284 im 19 and trust me when i say i love tool. and i have watched concerts back in the days of lateralus. i think its just that the songs were more fresh. and after seeing them be played for 10 years. or 14 years in the case of stinkfist, its just not the same feel. but i dont think it has anything to do with tool being worse. or whatever youre trying to say.

@serpentisima how old are you? I'm guessing about 18 or 19? I never said that it was all about him, I said the whole feeling of them playing live has changed.. Did you see them ten years ago during Lateralus?? When they actually played songs that you didn't hear on the radio everyday?? I'm not a hater,, just stating the obvious.. but obviously you hadn't seen them back then... just not the same... Maynard is only one part of them, the whole thing has gone downhill.
