I shot this video at a team penning clinic on 4/18/09 This is just the 11th ride on both of the bay horses. (This was just a practice so teams were made up, by the management, we don't know the the other rider but we thank her for joining us in the fun) One is a PMU she's coming five and owned and ridden by Kathy Doyle Winslow. The other is coming 3 owned by myself, and ridden by Kiertsyn Ebbeling.
I started both of these horses bitless, both are riding in Dr. Cooks bitless bridles. Neither horse has ever had a bit in their mouth. Both horses have only been ridden in a saddle three times. Prior to that I used a bareback pad. Both have been on trail rides. I shot five balloons off of my horse Ruger last month in preparation to compete in Cowboy Mounted Shooting. We have a long way to go to teach them to neck rein.
