I'm an avid hunter as well, and I would not let an animal suffer like that! I hunt to feed my family! If you make a bad shot and have the opportunity to have a follow up shot then take it! Why let the animal suffer?

That animal looked sick. Was it a mercy kill? And I understand some hunters have bad shots. The bad shot shouldn't be in question, posting the bad shot on youtube should be.

You could have at least speeded up the death a little, low shot it looked like to me. If you can get to its head slit its throat next time.
