Watch the episode Chill of the Night and tell me that isn't more badass than anything the animated series tried. Not to mention this series is allowed to show things tas could imply at best. It's the only cartoon which has touched on the death of Jason Todd.

This show is for fans who know Batman's ENTIRE history, hence why it adapts stories from 50's and 60's. You think kids want that? They wanna feel grown up by watching something that stylisticaly dark. Kinda like yourself.

Brave and the Bold was aimed at adult fans who love and know all Batman's history. It even faithfully adapted Batman comic stories from the decades ago which no cartoon has ever done. Even the origin was done much more faithfully than before.  Not to mention that when it did go darker it was badass than any other bat cartoon.

But I'd imagine a younger person would look at it as "gay". They ignorant to the characters rich and diverse history. Just as you are.
