"Fingerprinted Fool"

I wrote this song about ten yrs. ago shortly after finding out that the state of Ga. was going to begin digitally fingerprinting everyone in order for them to get a drivers license. If you didn't allow them to fingerprint you, you could not legally drive in the state of Ga. To my knowledge, Ga. was one of the "pilot states" being used by the fed. gov't. to implement this, at the time, new technology in tracking people. Anyway... they? took our Right to travel, turned it into a privilege to drive, and then demanded the mark of our bodies in order to keep the privilege. Has to do with the Imigration/Naturalization bill of 1996. I had been well aware of the GROWING fed. gov't. and shrinking 'states' rights' and individual rights for quite some time, but this fingerprint thing sure seemed like a awfully "in your face" Constitutional rip off. Now comes the honorable Congressman Ron Paul. Seems Congressman Paul is the only candidate running for President who has read the Constitution of the United States of America and understands the words and their meaning. Even if Congressman Paul doesn't win the election, I hope he remains a voice for the Constitution for a long time to come. God Bless you, Sir. Tommy Davis.
