I work at Hardee's....and we DO hand scoop our shakes!! It is not made with soft fake icecream that comes out of a machine. We use real ice cream, and it is scooped and measured in the cup. Now Wendy's, I have no idea. But our shakes are awesome! You can tell it is real ice cream. If you get a crappy shake from Hardees then it is the worker or that particular Hardees that is doing something crazy!

Shaking a cow (by hand) is the only way to guarantee a genuine milkshake.
Milking by hand is also essential (make sure you get a cow and not a bull. Forget that just milk it anyway)
Don't all fast food places keep a pug underneath the counter? or a long haired red setter? old english sheepdog?
