I saw this happen, and spoke to the guy later that week. He actually blacked out with the G force. He can remember nothing of the incident. He only suffered bruising however. One lucky guy.

There are not only comecial paragliders but also individuals. And most of the accidents in that area are cause by them as they are not very familiar with the region

Maybe he misjudged his altitude. Over water it's very difficult to tell the difference between 50 and 500 feet.

I did this in june this year. we took about 3 hours before we took off and wind died down. we took off from a rocky part of the mountain instead of the smooth runway as it was to windy there. also the person that says lykia is more exp and therfore better quality how was he/ or me for that matter supposed to know that. i thought 60 pounds was a fair price. i didnt use lykia pilots.
