Many years ago, lions thrived in the Namib Desert along the Skeleton Coast, while they are not destroyed people. Six years ago, an independent biologist Flip Stander found their small population, the remainder in the nearby mountains, and began to study them. Eventually their numbers increased, and they began to return to the desert. But to the lions continued to live here, Flip has to convince local residents that these lions are more alive than dead.
@Dsosa231 Yes, it is a GPS tracker. The community in the village Purros agreed not to shoot these lions if Dr Stander kept track of and informed them of the lion's movements. Unfortunately over 2010 and 2011, the males were shot by trophy hunters (despite the obvious collars) and in July the rest of the Huaraseb pride was poisoned. Makes one see red.

I sure hope they dont kill the lion I mean this is how extinction of species start, and why does one of the lion have an iron thing around its neck is it a tracker.

Fantastic. Good work Flip, just a pity the pride males are still shot by trophy hunters - much better to shoot them with your camera and that way lots of people can enjoy them.

why are their people in there
if the lions where extinct only in the 1980 i means that for thousands of years either humans never lived their or human and lions lived together in harmony
the lions didn't change, but humans did, it's the humans fault
