  • hi i had bp for 3 years most of it recovered when i look at your video i tend to realise your upper lip is not functioning very well like the other side and if am not mistaking am like that but my biggest problem is when i am taking pics if i smile its bad

    i hope you recovered fully

  • @alifareh1 Hey there :) In my 4th yr with BP - it's my lower lip side actually. I used to think the same way about pictures but now, I just think: "Whatever.. this is me now and I love it :)"

  • did u loose taste on half of your tongue?? i did lol weird!

  • Yup I did :D

  • Hi, I've had Bell's Palsy now for about three years. It has slowly improved to the point where it is not too bad, but the muscles still ache.

I don't often drink much alcohol these days, but had a small amount over Christmas. It helped to soothe the facial muscles. I now look more symmetrical than before Christmas. I'm not suggesting alcohol is a cure (!!), but it seemed to help the muscles relax and stay relaxed. Hope this is helpful.

  • That's interesting to hear 'cuz me, in my case, when I drink alcohol it gets too relax and I loose motion :) It looks stiffer. But it gets back a'ight the next day ^_^

  • i m on my 3rd month with bells, i think you are the most beautiful bells patient i have seen.

  • Your videos are great. It helped me out in seeing how you progressed. It helped me out so much.

  • I've had Bell's Palsy for the last 3 weeks and it is now going away. I think I'm lucky, but this is the 2nd time I have got it. This time it was terribly painful on the paralyed side. I took aclyvar and prednizone and I think it helped a lot. Also, my hearing has been very sensitive on the paralyzed side and everything is so loud! I can't wait for it to go away completely.

  • ty u so much for your vids. dunno if tthis worked or just concidence. i massaged my face one day and it improved the next. massage where it hurts to get the blood flowing. Ive been told i give good massages finally it came in handly for me. im glad u are better. but id thought id share this. i can make a crooked smile now.. as opposed to a half smile. :)

  • Can't tell you how much your posts have helped. I am 10 months into it - I think we are on about the same time frame and recovery rate. Your positive outlook has helped me to remain so. I am pretty shy and would make a you tube video, so thanks and keep us updated on your progress. I am very grateful for all your videos.

  • i have bells palsy at the moment i just got it 5 days ago. I look pretty much like you, my eye is the only thing that looks effected, i never got the droopy lip, thank god! But my tongue feels numb. I hope i will recover soon. Where you prescribed any steroids?
