Temperature change for a few years it's still can be weather, not climate change. So for sure MET saying about long-time period. You should look at their page - all answers there.

To clarify this subject it is necessary to define what the period of time we are talking about, temps of the last 8 years the earth is cooling if the UK Meteo office uses a longer time period say the last 100 years than we are warming up. My point is if 38 PPM of MM CO2 is driving temps up, than temps shouldn't be cooling unless that tiny amount of the earth's MMCO2 doesn't drive up earth's temps and it is all natural, just what I have been saying NO MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING!!

UK Meteo Office have this message on their website: "There is indisputable evidence from observations that the Earth is warming."
Go to MET Office website, click "Climate change" link on left side, on next page click link "The big picture" on left side - you will find there everything what they are saying about temperature change, climate change etc.

The UK Meteorological Office's Hadley Center for Climate Studies Had-Crut data shows worldwide temperatures declining since 1998.Two widely used global temperature data sources are from earth-orbiting satellites UAH and RSS. Both show decreasing temperatures over the last decade, present temperatures barely at 30 year average. Canadian statistician Steve McIntyre has been tracking the changes closely on his Climate Audit site, and reports that NASA is Rewriting History, Time and Time Again.

It would be foolish to assume that because we average a mere 1/10 of a degree warmer than the Medieval Warm period today, that it can't be a natural accruing phenomenon. Today is as normal as it was in the MWP.

starrdreams, Do a Google search "medieval warm tree rings" You will find many locations where the Medieval warming is found in tree rings, from the United States to China and the Orient.
