I have a miniature wennie dog who is so human it is unreal. She will turn 17 in November and I know the old time clock is ticking away. I pray she dies in her sleep and I never have to make that dreadful decision to put her down. What a joy a dog can make in ones life. This song is a must at her own little private funeral.

I still have the urn and ashes of my old Sophie on the mantle of the fireplace. She was a 14 year old Doberman Pincher, and gone or not........I still love that girl to this day. When she passed away I cried for two days.

@Jasminne2009 I know! Isn't this song the sweetest thing? I lost my precious 10-year-old terrier to terminal cancer last summer. I haven't been the same since. This song makes me SOB! :(

I didn't know that's what this song was about. I'm crying like a baby. I lost my Sammy about 6 months ago. I still cry about that. He loved to chase cars. Chased one too many one day. I went out and got a heart mender as quickly as I could. She's not my Sam, but she's a love. And it will kill me to lose her when the time comes, but for now - we're having a blast.
