  • what exactly was sanderson abusing? booze?

  • @hellbombx sanderson was like a lot of old school players, with a well developed drinking ability. his life went off the rails when coke and pills entered his life.

clean and sober now, derek's life has never been better.

peace to him and his family

  • Amazing player. Do you know Derek Jeter of the Yankees is named after The Turk. Derek Sanderson Jeter. Jeter's dad was a BIG fan of Sanderson. Betcha didn't know that? Great tribute to an amazing athlete.

  • # 16 The Turk was my all time favorite Bruin ... still is

  • SONG PLEASE?

  • Good tribute.

Although perhaps it should also be mentioned that it was Derek Sanderson who, at forty seconds into overtime in the fourth and final game of the 1970 Stanley Cup finals against the the St Louis Blues, from behind the net of goaltender Glenn Hall, passed the puck onto the stick of Robert Orr.

  • I love this guy... great tribute!
