Songbird 12-hole OoT Ocarina

I got this 12-hole OoT Ocarina from Songbird Ocarina two Christmases ago (i.e., Christmas 2009). It didn't have the greatest sound, but I didn't really notice how bad it was until I saw Mr. Songbird or somebody else with his company playing the same model of ocarina, but in a different key, and it sounded MUCH better. I am uploading this video to let them actually see what is wrong with it, since this is the first time I've had a webcame to work with. If anyone from Songbird Ocarina sees this video, I am not trying to defame your company. Thank you.

Hey Seth, sad to hear about the trouble you've had with the oc. If it really bothers you, the 50% off a new oc is actually a very good deal. However, if you don't want to go that route, there are a few things you could do to make the best of the oc you have!

Your version of the OoT is in the Key of A/Ab. You're right about it being one of the earlier models because I have one in the same key. I noticed you were overblowing a bit on the lowest/highest notes. Try blowing softer to stay in pitch.

@docjazz4 If you'd like to try your luck at selling it yourself to invest in a new oc, I highly recommend the ocarina network. theocarinanetwork . com. It's a great community that I've bought/sold a few ocs myself. Ocarinas in rare keys like yours tend to be more popular, so if you really don't want it, give it a shot!

@docjazz4 Thanks! I would love to take them up on the deal--like I hopefully got across, I have no more hard feelings. But at this point I'm kind of broke and don't even have a job to pay for next semester yet, much less anything else. It's been that way since college began.

I actually was blowing really softly and then got harder. It doesn't make a difference though. It's just air no matter how hard I blow. I think if I overblew at all in the video, it was nervousness over making a video. :P
